Hi Chantelle and Garth
Thank you to unlimited events. Julian was amazing and such a star to set up, break down (fearing rain) and re-setup inside. He only left after 10pm. We had a lot of fun!
Tim Burton and his crazy style can be recognised instantly if you put all the right elements together. It will be easy to mimic Tim Burton’s books or films if you hire the right props; but even choosing the right styles and colours from a simple décor hire catalogue will make a room flow with Burton inspiration.
For example, white and black stripes will make Tim Burton inspiration pop, most definitely. Using this for table linen, drapery or chairs brings out his unique fondness for the gothic quirk.
Red accents, spots of purple and subtle brushes of lime green will introduce that gloomy sensation his films have. Or use larger, colourful props, draped and decorated with all things shiny and colourful to get a fairy-tale wonderland feel.
Maybe now all you still need to do is invite a friend who looks like Johnny Depp, and your party is complete!
If a touch of class and old fashioned luxury is what you are after then a party in 221B Baker Street, London is where you will have to go. Or you could just build your own!
The trick is to choose all things Victorian- from your colours to your props, make sure you get that deep maroon, velvet and copper feel going. Imagine yourself in Sherlock Holmes’s study, and whatever your imagination tells you is lying around there, get it! By the time you are done putting all the pieces together, your venue will look like the opulent home of a well travelled, mastermind from the 1890’s.
Lush velvets, jewel tones and lavish drapery can all add to your Sir Arthur Donan Doyle dream! Antique books, knick-knacks and collectibles from the era will intensify the ambience.
Party at Sherlock’s house!
This is an all-round crowd pleaser! Alice in Wonderland has a structural theme but honestly, everyone is Alice; meaning you are free to build your own version of Wonderland. You can have red painted roses, white rabbits, toadstools, colours, flowers and all things whimsy covering the venue.
This doesn’t necessarily need to be reminiscent of only this one Western classic. You can take inspiration from them all; True Grit, Dirty Harry or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Bring the Frontier to life so that your party feels like walking into a saloon in the 1890’s. Games, drinks, décor? The cowboys had it all, so there is no reason you shouldn’t!
With décor hire at your disposal your themed party can be anything you want it to be. Whether it is your favourite film, book or place; your imagination is your only limit.
